Born in 1974, Yuri Zhislin is the son of the famous Russian violinist, Grigori Zhislin.
He studied first at the Moscow Music Gnessin School and later at the Royal College of Music London.
A laureate of many international music competitions, he has been lauded as a "virtuoso with a truly lyric gift and Romantic temperament."
In high demand to perform in concerts around the world, Zhislin is a rare performer who is equally at home with the violin and the viola.
He has performed chamber music with the likes of Maria João Pires, Daishin Kashimoto, Natalia Lomeiko, and Michael Collins. He is currently a professor at his alma mater, the Royal College of Music London.
