Yu Kosuge has lived in Europe since 1993.
With her superlative technique, beautiful tones, sensitivity of touch and profound understanding of the music she plays, Kosuge has become one of the most noted young pianists in Europe.
She has performed with orchestras such as the Berliner Sinfonie Orchester and Radio-Sinfonie Orchester Frankfurt, and with conductors of the stature of Seiji Ozawa and Gerd Albrecht.
She is a laureate of numerous music competitions, including the Nippon Steel Music Awards in 2002, the Washington Award in 2004, and the Idemitsu Music Award in 2007.
Kosuge is also an enthusiastic chamber musician, and is steadily expanding her career with performance alongside artists such as Daishin Kashimoto, Paul Meyer, and Karl Leister.
